THREE parties have announced their candidates for a by-election.
Two councillors will be elected for Lewisham Council’s Downham ward on February 19.
It was called after Liberal Democrat councillors Mark Morris and Simon Carter stepped down earlier this month.
The Liberal Democrats have chosen Duwayne Brooks and Jenni Clutten as their candidates.
Mr Brooks, 33, is a campaigner against knife crime in Lewisham.
Ms Clutten, 20, is a student at Goldsmiths University.
Labour’s candidates are Damien Egan and Pauline Morrison.
Mr Egan, 26, is an IT consultant.
Former mayor of Lewisham Ms Morrison, 60, works on the Downham estate as an advice worker.
Lewisham Greens have selected Lee Roach and Cath Miller as their candidates.
Mr Roach, 37, is an occupational therapist who worked in the NHS for 10 years.
Ms Miller, 37, works as a Green Party member for the European Parliament.
