A TEENAGER has died after being hit by a car in Gravesend.
Josh Callaghan, from the Bromley area, was taken to hospital after the accident on the A226 at Overcliffe.
But the 16-year-old was pronounced dead yesterday morning (January 25).
Kent police said the incident happened at around 4pm on Saturday when a maroon Vauxhall Vectra struck the teenager before colliding with a stationary car.
The Vectra driver, from Rochester, is being treated at a nearby hospital.
Josh was a Year 11 pupil at Ravens Wood School in Oakley Road, Bromley.
Headteacher Dr George Berwick said: "As a school, we would agree that the best words used to describe Josh are warm, bubbly, energetic, enthusiastic, mature and friendly.
"A uniquely outstanding student, with a friendship circle beyond Ravens Wood.
"His death will affect us all in different ways."
He added: "Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time."
Anyone who witnessed the incident should call the police on 01622 798538.
