THE Walnuts shopping centre in Orpington is getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend with some festive fundraising.
Father Christmas will be arriving on his sleigh to join the Orpington Rotary Club and help collect donations from generous shoppers.
Money will go towards supporting the many different causes the rotarians support, which include Demelza House Children’s Hospice, Bromley Women’s Aid, The Royal British Legion, Harris HospisCare and the Bromley M.E. Association.
They aim to raise around £2,000.
Walnuts shopping centre manager Martin Price said: “Year after year our shoppers give very generously.
“We are pleased to welcome back the Orpington Rotary Club’s Christmas collectors and we hope that we are able to raise the target amount required to help others in need this festive season.”
Father Christmas and the rotarians will be out in full force from 10am to 4pm tomorrow (Dec 20), Monday (Dec 22) and Tuesday (Dec 23).
