TWO BROTHERS have denied the allegation they stabbed a 16-year-old girl in the neck.
Matthew Godden, 28, and Michael Godden, 24, both of Preston Road, Northfleet, appeared before Maidstone Crown Court on December 16.
Matthew pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault, actual bodily harm and GBH, while Michael pleaded not guilty to common assault.
They will face trial at the court on February 23, and both have been bailed until then, with the conditions they continue to live at their current address, regularly check in with the police and do not attempt to contact prosecution witnesses.
The 16-year-old girl, from the Meopham area, was stabbed in the neck in Park Avenue, Gravesend, at around 11.20pm on October 2.
She was taken to Darent Valley Hospital and treated for non life-threatening wounds to her neck, before being released on October 5.
