THE PROBUS CLUB OF SIDCUP The above named club held their Ladies Luncheon on Monday, June 9. The luncheon was presided over by Chairman Mr Roy Packman. It was held in its usual venue, the Sidcup Sports Club.
After an excellent lunch, the assembled members and their wives and guests were given a scintillating talk by retired Chief Inspector Colin Breed who was the Commander of the Royal Protection Squad with the Kent Constabulary.
He illustrated the talk with some excellent films and his stories of minor slip-ups and near disasters were hilarious.
The audience were spell-bound by his anecdotes and would cheerfully have had him continue his talk if time had permitted.
The Probus Club of Sidcup is open to membership for retired professional and businessmen who now live in the Sidcup area.
