THOUSANDS of people gathered under the sun to enjoy a medieval-themed MS Fun Day designed to raise funds for, and awareness about, Multiple Sclerosis.
The day included a troop of re-enactment knights, morris men the Kent Korkers and Pork Scratchins and Stix the baton twirlers.
The Red Wheelie formation team got to “slay” the dragon in a jousting contest as visitors to Central Park, Dartford, enjoyed fairground attractions, live music and competitions and raised £3,000 for the cause.
MS awareness chairman Jackie Weeden said: “It made people see having MS is not the end of the world.” Mrs Weeden is part of the Red Wheelie formation, which attracted national attention following last year’s fun day, performing in front of a TV audience on GMTV.
