THE public was barred from an Old Bailey court as the jury was shown a “sordid” home video of a 15-year-old girl being put through a 90-minute sex ordeal.

The schoolgirl had sex with three men while a fourth filmed the scenes on a camcorder, the jury heard on June 11.

The girl, branded “easy and available” after the video was distributed around a south London housing estate, was raped and molested by a gang of men over the course of nearly a year.

Judge Timothy Pontius ordered the public gallery to be closed as the film, Lethbridge X-rated Part One, was played.

Prosecuting, Ann Cotcher told the jury: “The Crown says the tape led to the systematic and serial abuse of a young lady.” Ewart Hodge, aged 21, of Spartar Street, Greenwich, Adam Parker, aged 22, of Windmill Close, Lewisham, Daniel Gordon, aged 21, of Tanner’s Hill, Deptford, Lawrence Charles, aged 18, of Lethbridge Estate, Greenwich, Gerald Rodney, aged 23, of Lethbridge Close, Lewisham, and two 17-year-olds all deny a variety of sex offences.

Miss Cotcher said Hodge first had unlawful sexual intercourse with the girl in October 2001, taking her virginity when she was just 14.

On February 10, 2002, he took the girl to a flat in New Cross where she was introduced to Charles and Gordon. There were at least five others. Miss Cotcher said: “The video you will see represents half an hour of what happened.” Jurors also heard how a boy of just 15 was forced to have sex with the schoolgirl during the attack.

Miss Cotcher said: “The video branded the girl as easy and available and as someone who would do anything to please.

“She was approached to have sex and raped by men she hardly knew. She became frightened even to walk in public.” Parker, Rodney and the two 17-year-olds then subjected the girl to repeated sex attacks over the following 10 months, the court heard. The trial continues.
