YOUNGSTERS can compete in a mini-Olympics event to raise funds for charity this Saturday.
The event, which takes place at a community fun day at Westcourt School, in Gravesend, between 2pm and 5pm, features a range of games and sporting activities.
The day is being organised by the Westcourt Community Forum and environmental charity Groundwork.
Gravesend and Northfleet Football Club manager Andy Ford will open the event, with children aged five to eight under starter’s orders at 2.15pm.
Youngsters aged nine to 13 will compete at 3.45pm.
The sporting events have been organised by the Children’s Fund.
There will be a Punch and Judy show at 3pm.
Youngsters are invited to paint a picture, with a river theme, and bring it on the day to enter an art competition.
Other attractions include a bouncy castle, face-painting, a barbecue, model railway, plate-smashing and a variety of stalls.
