A FORMER magistrate has been warned he faces jail after trying to pull off passport scams.
Leyton Grant, aged 65, of Davenport Road, Catford, appeared at Southwark Crown Court, last Thursday.
He was arrested on May 8, last year, following a joint investigation involving the Met Police, the immigration service and the UK Passport Agency.
Grant was due to stand trial but changed his plea admitting two charges of making untrue statements to procure UK passports, dating from December 27, 2001, and January 24, last year.
He was granted bail and will return to court for sentencing on July 10.
