A MEOPHAM stunner has been selected to play Cinderella in this year’s panto at Gravesend.
Laura Hamilton, 21,was chosen from among 24 entrants to take the lead role at the Woodville Halls this Christmas.
She said: “I was so shocked. I really didn’t expect it because the competition was so good.” The freelance television worker and event organiser has danced since the age of three and has appeared at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford and the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham.
She added: “I love performing and that’s why I decided to audition. It’s a good opportunity but I don’t see it as something like Pop Idol, I’m not in it for that.” Rehearsals for Cinderella start on December 17.
