A NEW family centre offering a range of services and support will be officially opened on Wednesday(November 12).
The Elmers End Children and Family Centre will offer help and advice for parents, carers and families with children aged five and under living in the borough.
Services at the new centre in Kingsworth Close, Beckenham, include parenting support, adult learning opportunities, health services as well as providing a support network for child minders.
Ward councillor Peter Dean said: “It think it is a wonderful idea and it’s great to see something like this open.
“I am sure it will be widely supported and will be a great resource for parents."
The opening is part of the Children's Centres Programme, a national initiative to provide services for children and their families in local neighbourhoods.
