FREE taster courses are being offered to whet people’s appetites for learning.
Learning and Skills Council’s Bite Size initiative is a Government-funded campaign aimed at people aged 16 and above who have not had any formal education for a long period of time.
The campaign, which runs from June 16 to July 5, will offer more than 130 free courses in Lewisham and almost 40 free courses in Greenwich lasting between one and three hours.
Lewisham courses include car maintenance, aromatherapy, arts using recycled materials, basic sign language and a DJ workshop.
Greenwich courses include an introduction to deaf awareness, assertion for young people, creative writing and careers in care.
