CHILDREN had their faces painted and played on bouncy castles in a fun day to promote play.
The two to five-year-olds, from Lee Ash Pre-School, at Good Shepherd Church, in Handen Road, Lee, took part in the event, which was part of a Play Week promoted by the educational charity Pre-school Learning Alliance.
Parents organised a barbeque while the children played.
And community police officer Police Constable Jenny Myatt showed the children how to take their own fingerprints.
Pre-school supervisor Jill Rowlands said: “People thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were just sitting in the sunshine eating, drinking and listening to music.”
