A SECONDARY school is celebrating its third national Sportsmark award from Sport England in recognition of its commitment to sports.
Plumstead Manor School, in Old Mill Road, Plumstead, has a vast out-of-hours programme including athletics coaching from Cambridge Harriers and trampoline coaching from a former student.
The school also provides practical workshops for pupils from Greenslade, South Rise, Gallions Mount, Cornway, Foxfield and Woodhill primary schools.
Sports co-ordinator Annabel Chelinski said: “We were the first school in Greenwich to receive the award back in 1997. News of this third award has given the school a real sense of achievement.”
