DINERS and staff fled a fish and chip shop blaze.
Firefighters battled the fire which started when a deep fat fryer caught alight at Salisbury’s, Salisbury Road, Bromley, at 10pm last Thursday.
Two fire crews brought the blaze under control after an hour, but both floors of the shop were badly damaged.
Bridget Simmons, 70, who lives on the same road, told News Shopper: “Smoke was pouring from the windows and the staff were looking pretty upset on the street outside.”
