AUNT Sally would be spoilt for choice at a farm workshop where youngsters have created scarecrows which put Wurzel Gummidge to shame.
Children and their parents spent a day at Manor Farm, Southfleet, stuffing and clothing their own scarecrows, which they designed themselves.
Their enthusiasm produced an eclectic range of scarecrows, including a rock king Elvis Presley, a chef and Harry Potter’s owl, Hedwig.
Organiser Lorna Harris, 46, said: “There were some cracking ideas and we are really pleased with the results.” The two dozen scarecrows will be entered into a competition at the farm’s open day on July 6, with a £50 prize up for grabs.
