YOUNGSTERS in danger of exclusion from schools were awarded for their creative artwork during the Inclusive Creativity Exhibition which showcased work by 16 disaffected students.
The scheme, which began in October 2002, aims to keep the children in school by offering art classes in modelling, painting, calligraphy and poster design. It also provides an alternative curriculum which encourages them to review their school record.
Greenwich’s Abbey Wood School and Blackheath Bluecoats CofE School, as well as Malory School and Deptford Green School, in Lewisham, all took part and the youngsters involved received special awards.
