THREE young performers have won the chance of a lifetime to star in a professional musical.

Daniel Louard, 18, of Malpas Road, Brockley, Tracey Duodu, 17, of Fairlorn Court, Charlton, and Jade Walker, 17, of Darenth Park Avenue, Dartford, competed against 300 young hopefuls to win a paid stint in Greenwich Theatre’s production of Golden Boy.

Auditions for the 1960s American musical were held around south London and anyone aged 15 to 18 could attend.

Daniel said: “I’m really looking forward to this show. We worked with the director and the choreographer when we were rehearsing for the concert performances, so I think I know what to expect. “I’m going to be auditioning for theatre schools in the autumn, so I hope this experience will help me with that.” The trio will work alongside an acclaimed cast during the eight-week run and will also be eligible to join Equity. Golden Boy opens on June 19. Tickets are available from the box office on 020 8858 7755. They can also be ordered online by visiting www.greenwichtheatre.org.uk
