YOUNGSTERS could benefit from a purpose-built skate park if plans for a riverside venue go ahead.
Teenagers in Woolwich have taken part in initial consultation for the proposed £66,000 park in Royal Arsenal Gardens. Skaters took up the opprtunity to test mobile ramps and visit an information bus at the end of last month. If the scheme goes ahead, they will help with the design of the park.
The park would be paid for by the Greenwich Neighbourhood renewal fund.
Long-term proposals include after-school activities, competitions and coaching.
