VOLUNTEERS who operate advice centres have received thanks from The Princess Royal.
Princess Anne, who is patron of Citizens’ Advice, sent her thanks to workers at Eltham and Woolwich Citizens’ Advice Bureaux (CAB) as part of national Volunteers’ Week.
The centre is staffed by more than 25 volunteers who work in a variety of roles including reception, advice and clerical work. Greenwich CAB chief executive Emma Knight said: “We have a team of administration volunteers at Eltham who have, between them, been with us for more then 71 years.
“I would like to thank all our volunteers for their efforts on behalf of our clients and the community as a whole.” To get involved with the work of the CAB, call 020 8850 9060.
