A beautiful day outside, but the world still seems a horrible place. Recent events have really got me wondering what this world is coming to.

Murder is now a common every day occurrence which we are becoming desensitised to. I myself as a 22 year old cannot understand what goes through the head of some of the young people around these days. I understand it is very important not to stereotype people but I can also understand how and why people do it. These days it seems that we youngsters (myself by all means included) are looked upon as nothing but trouble. And I don't disagree with the older generations reasons for this.

The majority of people who are going around, turning this country in to such a bad place are members of my generation and younger and due to this, we all get tarred with the same brush. It's those people who are ruining it for the rest of us. And if I'm honest, I put it down to the parents.

My parents brought me up to know right from wrong, to treat my elders with respect to take pride in my surrounding not destroy them and to never ever even think about taking another persons life. My friends were all brought up the same way and they all turned out the same as me. It doesn't matter which part of the country we come from. I am from the other side of the country yet my friends aren't. It's about not teaching children what is right and wrong, punishing them when they do wrong. I mean a smack never did me any harm as a kid. And when I have children, I will not hesitate to smack them when they are naughty.

Maybe that's what is wrong with today's society; parents are too scared to punish their children in case they "report them".

Anyway…at least there's always Spain if it carries on (then again, the whole of Britain, murderers included after their 2 year jail spell will end up there).
