February 19, 2001 16:05: WHOLESALERS in Gravesham are being warned to remove batches of a sports' drink from their shelves.
The Food Standards Agency has taken action to recall batches of Umbro Hypotonic Sports Drink (manufactured under licence by GoPack SuperDrinks Ltd) which may be contaminated with penicillium and cladosporium mould.
The drink comes in 500ml blue plastic sports bottles. Wholesalers are being asked to remove bottles from their stocks and recall the product from any retail outlets they have supplied.
The affected bottles carry a batch number between 0120#### and 0208#### on the cap and have a best before date of June 2001 or July 2001 across the neck of the bottle. The bottles should be returned to the point of purchase.
