December 8, 2000 17:14: A TEENAGER was fined £100 after pleading guilty to stealing razors and spirits from shops in Gravesend.
Paul Smith, 18, of Poplar Avenue, Gravesend, was stopped in a branch of Wilkinsons and his bag searched Gravesend Magistrates Court heard.
It was found to contain a large number of razors. He also pleaded guilty to theft of a quantity of spirits from Asda in Gravesend.
The magistrates took into account the fact Smith was combating a drug problem and decided, after serving a week in custody, a fine of £100 was sufficient punishment.
