A WELLING couple say the secret to 60 years of happy marriage is “love and devotion”.
Romancer Ron Brown, 84, presented his wife Ivy, 82, with 60 pink roses to celebrate their diamond anniversary.
They celebrated their anniversary in style with family and friends when they went to Lloyds on the Green, in Welling, in a 1936 Austin Taxi.
“The party was fantastic, everything was lovel,” said Mrs Brown.
Mr and Mrs Brown met at a dance on Christmas Eve in 1937. Four years later they married.
Ron who was in the Normandy landings during the war, has been blind for the last 40 years, but this hasn't detracted from the couples love for each other, and for dancing.
