A CROCKENHILL resident has donned his Blue Suede Shoes and told his fiancee: “It's Now or Never”.

Elvis Presley impersonator Scott Waterton, of Daltons Road, Crockenhill, admitted he Can't Help Falling in Love after turning up at his wedding to Karon Croney at Sidcup register office dressed as The King.

The pair, both 30, said they had a Burning Love for each other when they met in a Dartford pub 10 years ago and finally decided to get wed.

Scott, who performs regularly as Elvis, admitted his new bride was his Good Luck Charm and says when he met her he was All Shook Up.

Roof tiler Scott asked if Karon was Lonesome Tonight. The romance blossomed and the couple hope there will not be any Crying in the Chapel after their wedding.

Scott and Karon spent the day being chauffeured around in a pink Cadillac and are off to Spain for their honeymoon.

Scott hopes his talent at impersonating The King may one day lead to a career belting out Elvis hits.

Best man Steve Robb refuses to admit his best pal is mad though.

He said: “Scott is just a fan of The King, he is not obsessed by him.

“He does love his fiancee though. Every time they are apart from each other he says she is Always on my Mind.

“But they make a great team and he is an excellent Elvis impersonator. We are always pestering him to try his hand at doing a few gigs around the place because he sounds so much like him.

“Ever since I met him six years ago, he has been an all-round nice guy and Karon is lovely too.

“I'm sure their marriage will show everyone they are both Playing for Keeps.”
