CHILDREN from an Orpington primary school gathered groceries and goods for a special harvest festival celebration.
Pupils at Crofton Infants, in Towncourt Lane, Orpington, collected hundreds of items to donate to local elderly people as well as the London City Mission for the Homeless.
Headteacher Jackie Mitchell said: "It's always good for the children to learn about giving and helping other people.
"The Harvest Festival is also a great way for them to learn as part of their Religious Education curriculum."
