A WOMAN who fell on to the tracks at Anerley Railway Station miraculously escaped death after an oncoming train braked just in time. Police said Jacqueline Scott, 35, of Plaistow, had been drinking before the incident at 11.30pm last Thursday. She suffered a dislocated shoulder and minor injuries and was taken to Bromley Hospital by ambulance and discharged the next morning. A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Fortunately, the train pulled up in time. The woman fell onto the tracks and was rescued by emergency services." The unexpected stoppage of the 10.06pm train from Charing Cross to Caterham caused minor delays.
