YOUTHS are throwing bricks through car windows in roads just behind a major town centre.
Police say at least three to four cars are being vandalised a week in Mortimer Road and Lychgate Road behind The Walnuts centre in Orpington.
Victims have been asked to contact the police.
A police spokesman said: "The problem is only one out of every five cases are reported which means we can not put the resources necessary into it It is usually more nuisance problems but occasionally they take things out of the cars as well."
