A BROMLEY woman has been invested as a member of the Order of St John at a ceremony.
Barbara Lewis, of Copley Dene, was presented with the special award at the Grand Priory Church, Clerkenwell.
The award was given in recognition of her contribution to the St John Ambulance.
Having been a volunteer for the last 24 years, she was presented with the Insignia by the Prior of the Order of St John, Lord Slynn.
Each award has been approved by Her Majesty The Queen.
At the award ceremony Lord Slynn commented: “These men and women are being honoured at the investiture ceremony in recognition of their dedicated as well as exceptional voluntary service in the Order's charitable foundations.”
