New money for old: Age Concern Sutton is calling on residents to collect spare European currency to help prevent cold-related pensioner deaths this winter. Residents can donate cash at various building societies as well as Sutton Civic Offices, Age Concern shops or the charity's Sutton offices.
Donor time: Anyone who fancies performing a good turn tomorrow should get down to Westcroft Leisure Centre, Carshalton, and donate some blood. Sessions take place from 2pm to 4.30pm and between 5.30pm and 7.45pm, at the Westcroft Road venue.
Jazz it up: One of the finest jazz bands in the country is coming to the Charles Cryer Studio Theatre in Carshalton on Tuesday, November 20. The Keith Nicholls' famous Cotton Club Band will be performing a one off gig. Call the box office on 020 8647 2114.
Speak out: Carshalton and Wallington residents can get any grievances off their chests with Tom Brake MP next Friday evening. He is holding a constituency surgery, between 5.30pm and 7pm, at Sutton Ecology Centre in Honeywood Walk, Carshalton.
