CYCLISTS are being urged to take extra care on Kent's roads as the nights draw in.
Kent County Council has revealed 88 cyclists were injured on the roads last year mostly during the hours of darkness.
Cabinet member for strategic planning Sarah Holler said: “It is important to be seen at all times when cycling.
“Fluorescent coats are ideal for the day and reflective at night.
“Make sure you use both the rear and front lights on your bike when it is dark. Reflectors on the spokes and pedals are also a good idea.”
