MORE than 100 items donated by celebrities were auctioned off in Gravesend in aid of the Ellenor Foundation.
But shoppers in St George's Centre were not keen on a book signed by its infamous author.
A Jeffrey Archer hard-back was one of only four items which failed to sell at the auction.
Ellenor spokesman Julia Yardle said: “It was kind of Mr Archer to donate the book before all the trouble happened.”
She added: “The auction was a huge success which we hope to repeat next year.”
A Jackie Stewart racing hat fetched the highest price at £110 in the sale which raised £1,400 for the charity.
