A planning application has been submitted to Greenwich Council to convert the former Gilt Moth Tattoo premises at 19 Greenwich South Street.
The new venue would serve coffee, pastries, snacks and salad. The application was validated by the council on August 24 and is awaiting a decision.
The proposal relates to the ground-floor commercial unit at the property, which was most recently occupied by Gilt Moth Tattoo.

If approved, the premises would change from a tattoo parlour to a Class E café, allowing food and drink to be sold primarily for consumption on site.
Planning documents show the 96-square-metre unit would include customer seating, a service counter, kitchen facilities, storage space and an accessible toilet. Access to the residential flats above would remain separate.
No external changes to the building or shopfront are proposed as part of the application.
The planning statement argues the business would provide an active day-to-day use in the town centre and help increase footfall for neighbouring businesses.
However, these benefits are claims made by the applicant and will be assessed by the council as part of the planning process.
The site is located within Greenwich town centre and the Greenwich Conservation Area.
Before becoming a tattoo studio, the premises operated as a restaurant, meaning the latest planning application could see the unit return to a food and drink use.
A decision is expected by October 19, 2026, although the date is a target and may be subject to change.
