Aldi has revealed the south east London areas where it wants to open new supermarkets – with south east London among its priority locations.
The supermarket giant is looking to expand across Greater London and says it is searching for sites in several News Shopper areas, including Bexleyheath, Bromley, Lewisham and Sidcup.
The investment forms part of Aldi's wider UK expansion plans and could bring new jobs as well as more affordable shopping options to communities across south east London.

Britain's biggest discount supermarket is seeking freehold, leasehold or long leasehold sites in prominent locations across London with good visibility and access, including:

Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: "We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we're focused on identifying the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.

Known for its low prices and own-brand products, Aldi has become one of the UK's biggest supermarket chains, regularly topping consumer surveys for value.
The retailer says new stores will help bring affordable groceries to more communities while creating jobs.
Store Assistants currently earn from £14.88 an hour inside the M25, with pay increasing based on length of service.
The expansion is part of Aldi's £370 million investment in new stores this year as it works towards its long-term target of 1,500 stores across the UK.
Landowners and agents with suitable sites have been invited to contact the supermarket as it looks to secure locations for the next wave of openings.
