A major beer festival is set to take place in south east London over the weekend.

The London Craft Beer Festival will arrive at Southwark Park, Bermondsey, for the first time, having previously been held at Magazine London in Greenwich.

About 20,000 people are expected to attend the two-day event on Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, which will offer more than 800 beers from over 150 breweries worldwide.

One notable comeback is the brewery Duration, set to serve its creations for the first time since 2022.

The festival will run from 5.30pm to 10.30pm on Friday, and from 11am to 10.30pm on Saturday, July 18.

In addition to beer, the festival will present street food from FEAST kitchens, live music, headline DJs, and appearances from various brewers, distillers, chefs, artists, and charities from each London borough and 12 countries.

A highlight for craft beer enthusiasts is Turtles All The Way Down, a 5.5% IPA that has been shortlisted for the Top 50 UK Beers.

The festival has a new outdoor venue this year and is easily accessible via Bermondsey and Canada Water stations.

London Craft Beer Festival representatives will also be joining local pub crawl groups on planned routes through nearby Borough pubs to coincide with the festival weekend.

The festival is set to be a simple day or weekend outing for residents of Lewisham, Greenwich, Bexley, and Bromley, eager to sample offerings from one of the capital's largest craft beer events.

Tickets are available on the London Craft Beer Festival's official website, and include access to beer, food, and entertainment here.
