A London man has been jailed alongside his accomplice for stealing high-value cars during a series of burglaries across Kent earlier this year.
Ben Aspinall, 19, of Green Lanes, London, and Jonathan Dehaviland, also 19 and of Strood, targeted homes in Cliffe, Whitstable, Woodchurch, and Faversham between February 17 and March 10 this year.
The pair broke into six homes, stealing car keys, vehicles, and other valuables including watches, handbags, and game consoles.
Vehicles taken included BMWs, a Volvo, and a Mercedes.
Both men were arrested on March 10, 2026.
The stolen Mercedes was found parked near Dehaviland’s home on Tamar Drive in Strood, and the key was found inside the property.
Aspinall and Dehaviland were charged the next day with multiple counts of burglary and vehicle theft.

On April 20, 2026, both pleaded guilty at Canterbury Crown Court and were sentenced at the same court last Friday (July 3).
Dehaviland received a sentence of five years and three months.
Aspinall was jailed for four years and one month.
Detective Constable Daniel Bister said: "These two men corrupted the sanctity of several people’s homes, leading not only to financial loss but a loss of the feeling of security.
"Their brazen crimes were spread across the county, highlighting their confidence in not being caught.
"Of course, they were and now face years behind bars.
"We hope this sentence brings their victims some sense of justice."
