The trial of a man accused of murdering two women is due to start at the Old Bailey.
Simon Levy, 40, is accused of killing Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, who was found dead in a largely disused block of flats on the Aylesbury estate in Southwark on March 17 last year.
He is also accused of murdering Sheryl Wilkins, 39, who was discovered collapsed near High Road, Tottenham, at about 6.30am on August 24 last year.
Levy, of Beaufoy Road, Tottenham, denies the charges.
He is also charged with two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm with intent and non-fatal suffocation relating to a third woman.
The charges concern an incident on High Road, Tottenham, on January 21 last year.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC is expected to open the case.
The trial is being heard before Judge Mark Lucraft KC.
