A zebra crossing has been proposed near a school in Eltham to "improve safety" for pupils.
Bromley Council has put forward plans to install a new pedestrian crossing in Grove Park Road to improve safety for pupils attending Eltham College.
The proposals include a zebra crossing as well as zig-zag markings on both sides of Grove Park Road, from its junction with the roundabout at Court Farm Road and Mottingham Lane to opposite the school entrance road.
These markings will prevent parking and loading at all times.
The council said it hopes the scheme will also "avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road".
Bromley Council said: "The crossing is being installed to facilitate the passage of pedestrians crossing Grove Park Road to improve safety for pupils attending Eltham College.
"It also aims to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and prevents the likelihood of any such dangers arising.
"The crossing will incorporate a controlled area indicated by zig-zag markings along the carriageway where parking and loading will be prohibited at all times in the length of road specified."
