A block of flats was evacuated after balconies caught fire in Deptford.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled the blaze at around 7pm yesterday (March 24) on Childers Road.
The building was evacuated but there were no reports of any injuries.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) said the fire was “extremely visible” and received 15 calls regarding it.
The fire was brought under control soon after 8pm and the cause is under investigation.

An LFB spokesperson said: “Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters have been tackling a fire at a block of flats on Childers Street in Deptford.
“Several balconies at a six-storey building were alight. The fire is now under control but crews will remain on scene in order to fully extinguish the fire and dampen down hotspots.
“The building has been evacuated and there have been no reports of any injuries at this time.
“The fire was extremely visible and Control Officers took several emergency calls from members of the public travelling on a nearby railway line reporting the fire.
“The Brigade received the first of 15 calls at 1900 and Control Officers mobilised crews from Deptford, New Cross, Old Kent Road and surrounding fire stations to the scene.
“The fire was brought under control by 2004. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
