THE May Queen parade is under threat unless organisers can find a group of musicians who can lead the procession.
The group of bagpipers which normally leads the Hayes and Hayes Common May Queen groups' procession through Hayes has disbanded and the two groups now fear for their annual procession.
Lesley Vistuer, of the Hayes Common group, is appealing for any musicians who can lead a procession through the town to come forward.
The one-hour parade starts at Hayes library, on April 28, at 2.15pm and will move through the town.
There is a payment for anyone who can help. Anyone interested, should call Lesley Vistuer on 020 8462 5599.
