A person has died after a crash on a residential road in Catford.

Canadian Avenue has been cordoned off after a crash just before 5.50pm yesterday (January 13).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended but a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police remain in the area as an investigation takes place.

No further information about the incident has been shared by emergency services at this time.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.47pm yesterday (13 January) to reports of a road traffic collision on Canadian Avenue, Catford.

“We sent resources including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
