GRAN Victoria Shipman celebrated her 100th birthday and put her long life down to her love of the yellow fruit.
Mrs Shipman, of Tegal House residential home, Lee, celebrated in style, as she enjoyed tea with Greenwich mayor Councillor Terry Malone.
Doctors see her long life as a miracle, as she has always had high blood pressure. When she was given medicine to combat the problem she tried one tablet then threw them in the bin.
Known as the “warrior” by her family and friends, it seems that, when it comes to Victoria Shipman's own health, nobody knows better than her.
