STUDENTS on a professional writing course at North West Kent College are to be given the chance to have their work broadcast on the radio.
Oneword Radio, which won Sony's station of the year gold award for being the best radio station only transmitting on a digital frequency, has given the go-ahead for students from the Dartford Campus, on Miskin Road, to submit material to it for broadcasting.
Course tutor for the Higher National Diploma in professional writing Neil Nixon said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn scripting and radio writing at first hand.
“It will also help everyone improve their understanding of the world of professional writing.”
