A man has been charged with murder after a teenage boy was shot dead in Stockwell.

Omar Prempeh, 32, of Stanstead Road, Forest Hill, was charged on Saturday, March 8, in connection with the death of 16-year-old Lathaniel Burrell.

Lathaniel was shot on Paradise Road on the evening of Tuesday, March 4.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family are being supported by specialist officers as detectives continue their investigation.

Prempeh is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 10.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
