A “serious” motorcycle crash has shut down the Dartford Crossing.
There have been severe delays due to a crash on the M25 both ways from J1B A296 Princes Road (Dartford) to J2 A2 (Darenth Interchange) today (October 30).
Kent Police were called to the clockwise carriageway to a “serious collision” at 2.23pm.
A spokesperson said: "Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where both carriageways are currently closed.
"The air ambulance is also in attendance and motorists should plan their journeys accordingly."
At the time of reporting, there is no indication of any injuries.
Congestion had stretched to J30 (Lakeside / Tilbury), with anticlockwise back to J3 (M20 Swanley interchange).
As of 4.11pm, the northbound has reopened but southbound remains closed.
The National Highways has warned that severe delays are expected throughout the evening.
Elsewhere on the M25 in Essex, the motorway was closed between J25 Waltham Cross Interchange (Enfield, Hertford A10) and J26 Waltham Abbey Interchange (Waltham Abbey, Loughton A121).
This was also due to a crash involving a motorbike, Essex Police has said.
