THERE was an air of mystery surrounding a Welling church hall as people appeared and disappeared, were levitated and dissected.
But the magic was all in a good cause. Sidcup illusionist Richard Mendham, assisted by Karen Usher, put on two performances of Enigma, his cabaret show, to raise money for the church's resident drama group, the St Mary's (Welling) Players.
There was lots of audience participation, laughter, dancing by Mirage and singing from Jackie Hall.
The show is being performed next at the Theatre Royal, Margate, on July 1.
