Drivers in and around Dartford will have 16 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network in the coming weeks.
Three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.
This latest expected works list from National Highways and includes details of why the closures are in place.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
Here is the full list of road closures in and around Dartford:
- The A282 will experience moderate delays (10-30 minutes) from 8pm on September 30 to 6am on October 26. This will be on the A282 Anticlockwise from junction 1A to the M25 Anticlockwise at junction 31, due to a West Tunnel closure for grillage works, with a diversion via National Highways roads.
- The A2 will have slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on August 19 to 5am on November 1. This will be on the A2 westbound at Old Bexley Lane, where a 24-hour 40 mph speed limit will be in place for VRS works.
- The A282 northbound will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 1 to 5.30am on November 2. This will be due to the closure of the Dartford Crossing West Tunnel for maintenance works, with a diversion via the National Highways network.
- The A2 westbound from Ebbsfleet to Bean will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 7 to 6am on October 9 due to a hard shoulder and lane closure for construction works.
- The A2 in both directions from Ebbsfleet to Pepperhill will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 7 to 6am on October 8 due to a slip road closure for electrical works.
- The A2 eastbound from Old Bexley Lane to Darenth Interchange will have moderate delays (10-30 minutes) from 8pm on October 10 to 5am on October 11 due to lane and slip road closures for routine maintenance, with a diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
- The A282 southbound from junction 1A to junction 2 will experience moderate delays (10-30 minutes) from 8pm on October 12 to 7.30am on October 13 due to lane closures, slip road closures, and carriageway closure for waterproofing works, with a diversion via local authority and National Highways roads.
- The A282 northbound at Dartford Crossing West Tunnel will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 12 to 5am on October 13 due to a tunnel closure for maintenance works, with a diversion via the National Highways network.
- The A282 northbound at Dartford Crossing East Tunnel will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 13 to 5am on October 14 due to a tunnel closure for maintenance works, with a diversion via the National Highways network.
- The A2 westbound at Bean will have slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 14 to 6am on October 15 due to a slip road closure for improvement works.
- The A2 eastbound at Bean will have slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 15 to 6am on October 16 due to a lane closure for improvement works.
- The A20 eastbound from Crittall's Corner to Swanley Interchange will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 15 to 5am on October 17 due to a lane closure for horticultural works.
- The A282 northbound at Dartford Crossing will have slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 19 to 5am on October 20 due to a tunnel closure for contraflow works, with a diversion via Highways England Network.
- The A282 northbound and southbound at Dartford Crossing will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 19 to 5am on October 20 due to the QEII Bridge closure for maintenance, with a diversion via the East Tunnel contraflow.
- The A282 northbound at Dartford Crossing East Tunnel will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 20 to 5am on October 21 due to a tunnel closure for maintenance works, with a diversion via National Highways network.
- The A2 eastbound at Bean will experience slight delays (under 10 minutes) from 8pm on October 21 to 6am on October 23 due to slip road and lane closures for technology works.
