A man in his 30s has died after being hit by a car on the M2 in Kent.
The incident happened on the coastbound carriageway between junctions one and two near Rochester at 6.40pm yesterday (September 29).
Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place as the incident was dealt with.
The man was pronounced dead shortly after.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
His next of kin have been informed.
The road re-opened at 11.50pm.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Webb said: “While we are treating the death as non-suspicious, officers are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage along the M2 or the surrounding roads at the time to contact us so that we can understand the full circumstances.”

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Witnesses are being sought by officers investigating the death of a man on the M2 near Rochester.
“On Sunday 29 September 2024, Kent Police was called at 6.40pm to reports that a person had been involved in a collision with a car on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 1 and 2.
“The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident and a man in his 30s was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“The road re-opened at 11.50pm.”
