The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, September 9, 2024:
ANDREW SHARPIN, 39, of Salmond Lane in Tower Hamlets, admitted stealing £275 of food from Co-op in Deptford on August 5 this year and £50 of meat and fish from Tesco in Tower Hamlets on October 15 last year. Sharpin was jailed for three months.
MICHAEL COLLINS, 41, of Somerfield Street in Lewisham, admitted possessing a bladed article – scissors – on Deptford High Street on February 2. Collins was jailed for 21 weeks.
ALAN PETERS, 38, of Plumstead Common Road in Plumstead, admitted drink driving and driving without a licence in Plumstead on July 19. Peters was disqualified from driving for 36 months and was given an eight-week suspended sentence.
PENNY NEWBY, 34, of Shooters Hill in Bexleyheath, admitted burglary by stealing two Paco Rabanne perfume from a locked cabinet on March 27. Newby was given a one-year community order including 100 hours of unpaid work.
