Erith High Street incident: Child rushed to hospital

A child has been rushed to hospital after falling unwell in Erith.

The incident happened in Erith High Street near Saltford Close just before 11.25pm today (September 2).

An ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer from London Ambulance Service attended.

The child was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital as a priority where their condition is unknown.

We have contacted Metropolitan Police for further information.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.24am today (2 September) to reports of a person unwell on Erith High Street, DA8.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.

“We treated a child at the scene before taking them to hospital as a priority.”
